6 Spiritual Goals you Need to Set for the New Year – This was originally posted in 2018. I wrote it as I was writing my own spiritual goals for the new year. I thought of categories that would be important to our spiritual growth. This has continued to be the template for my Spiritual Goals. If I were writing it again, I might at Rest as a category. It seems we are so busy that rest is something that we need to learn and practice.
Ephesians Colouring Pages – I wasn’t really surprised that this was one of the top posts. I shared a bit of background to that post in the introduction. This was my first attempt at making colouring pages. I learned some things and would do things a bit different the next time. I wonder what book or topic I should do next? Do you have a suggestion? Leave it in the comments.
How to be a Shallow Christian – A shallow Christian does not have deep roots that will keep her nourished in a difficult time. This was a light-hearted look at what life looks like for a shallow Christian. The challenge for us is to learn to go deep in our relationship with God. Dig deep into his word and learn more about him.
A-Z Praying for Missionaries – I wrote this to give me prompts as I pray for missionaries. I also thought of areas that we could use prayer. This has been on my blog since the beginning. It is still true. The photo is one that I took in a market in rural China. I love wandering through markets and this particular market was probably a highlight of our time there. As I looked through my camera lens, I saw so many people that need to know the truth about God. Romans 10:14, “How then will they call on him in whole they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? Any how are they to hear without someone preaching?” I might not be able to go but I can pray for missionaries and for God to do a mighty work in drawing people to himself.
5 Ways to Have a Teachable Heart – My mom has said numerous truths to me through the years. If I could pick the top truth she planted in my heart, it would be “have a learner’s attitude.” She would say this as we approached various challenges. Ask questions and learn before you jump in. I think that truth helped me to consider 5 Ways to Have a Teachable Heart. Thanks mom for those words of wisdom.
Questions about Faithfulness – This was written as part of a series on the Fruit of the Spirit. It continues to amaze me that this is one of the top posts. I think this helps me to see how much each of us struggle with being faithful. We have questions and wonder how we can be more faithful. Do you have a question about faithfulness? Leave a message in the comments.
This year on the blog has not gone as I planned because life has not gone as planned. It was God’s plan for the year. I continue to write and share what God is teaching me. I do have some plans for 2021 here. I will be sharing that in the next week or so.
