Sunday – Autumn Reflection

Sunday – Autumn Reflection

The leaves are beginning to change colours. The air is crisp in the morning when I go out for school drop off. We are looking for conkers on our walk to church. How many can we put in our pockets? They can’t be crushed but need to be whole. All signs that autumn has arrived.

The days are getting shorter. It is dark early in the evening. I want to eat soup or hot stew and just drink something hot. The seasons have changed but yet God remains the same. How thankful I am for that truth.

Autumn is a time of harvest. I am enjoying apples that others are sharing. It is a time of preparing for winter. We need to be preparing now for what might come both physically and spiritually.

God is good no matter what season. He cares and provides for us. We can trust that he will continue to do that. Autumn is a great time to just reflect on all God has done in your life this past year. Count your blessings, name them one by one. See the wonderful things that God has done.

During the month of October I will be schedule just short posts to help us reflect on Sundays. I trust that you will have a day to reflect on God’s goodness to you.
